Excellent golf experience, very friendly and helpful staff at arrival. Course is challenging, lots of traps and water. For average player play the forward white tees and enjoy. Great day, great playing conditions. Course fairways, rough etc in very good condition.

We played Silverthorn on a cloudy but warm day. The starter got us off early - always a bonus. Pace of play was slow on the first 3 holes then difficulties waylaid some of us and the pace continued beautifully for the rest of the round. We came in on time. The greens were in great condition. All the players loved the variety of the course, the variety in the size of the greens, and the different challenges each hole presented. The two finishing holes, 9 & 18 are very picturesque, and the clubhouse is lovely. Highly recommended to all and we will also return. Thanks, Silverthorn!

like underclubbing, the folks at Silverthorn came up short in several areas: when we arrived . . . at approx. 10:15 for our 11 a.m. tee time, there were no range balls . . . none . . . and none forthcoming. When we tried to get carts, and one of our members is handicapped, we were told that there were no carts . . . they overbooked and did not bring in rentals . . . we were told we could wait or come back for a rain check . . . that would be a 65 mile trip for me . . . so we waited . . . and waited . . . we finally got off at about 11:30. checked with the starter . . . no beverage cart . . . fully loaded course and no beverage cart . . . and we waited on every shot during the round . . . every shot . . . the layout was above average . . . fairways and greens in good shape . . . although greens were not cut similarly . . . some short, others longer . . . pace was a problem . . . with no beverage cart, water on only a few holes per nine . . . it was a long day . . . although staff was amiable, they could not deliver . . . will never play here again, and would not recommend the course to anyone else . . . as a high school golf coach, and 5 handicap, i enjoy playing a variety of courses in surrounding counties and do not mind the drive . . . if its a good experience. This was not. Would highly recommend that this course be reconsidered for inclusion in your package for next season . . . and if they are going to insist that you not let your members tee off until 11 a.m. on weekends, that they do not overbook. Realize they are a business trying to profit, but . . .
