Lone Tree Golf Club, designed by architect Darryl Wilson of the CMX Group, opened in January of 2001. This semi-private, traditional style course makes the perfect setting for Arizona golf vacations and features five holes with water, one with an island green. Lone Tree Golf Club`s beautiful landscaping and natural surroundings rival that of many Phoenix golf courses and has four sets of tees and tiff dwarf grass overseeded with rye.

Enjoyed the day playing on a long course as this. The fairways were nicely kept the greens were a little fast. May be it was do to the heat drying them out, although the weather was fair. Over all had a great round, was fun and enjoyed playing with a Canadian couple. I recommend this course to long hitters as well to any player hitting from front tee box (white) good for average player.

Lone tree has a nice layout and plays well.. Tee to green is in very good shape (played 3/21). Always got good lies in fairways. Greens roll very nice. Lots of sand and water makes for some interesting shots. Actually sand is very high quality and raked nicely. The gravel based roughs get kind of old after a while. Might want to bring an older iron along so you don't scratch up your good clubs.
Playing time was good - 4 1/2 hours for a Sunday 9:00am tee time. About what we have in Milwaukee during the summer.
For tourists , not the scenic looking course , if that is what you are looking for.
Value proposition in the few courses I have played - pretty much in the right price range. If you plan to get in lots of golf in SE AZ, should play the course.
