Good course to warm up your game....wide fairways but challenging greens due to bunkers....good catch of overseeding this year....no marshalling led to a slower than necessary round...this course should play in 4 shours , not 4:45...

Fair and very playable from every tee box. Greens rolled true. If only someone made sure the player raked the bunkers. I have never played on a course where their were so many footprints left by golfers.

I played the Duke Saturday July 2nd. We had a 930 tee time, but the friendly staff was able to get us on almost an hour early (we intentionally got there early hoping that might be the case). Course was in very good shape for this time of year. Fairways were kept in good condition and loved how wide they were. Greens were in great shape, and not rock hard like many other greens. I average around the low 100s and shot a 93. Didn't lose a single ball over 27 holes. Great course. Already booked my tee time for this week.

A great day was spent at the Duke - another discount from the internet fee because we showed our SW Pass - greens were plugged and sanded, but much smoother than the practice putting green - played the course in 3 hours and 15 minutes - great shape and enjoyed the round, the course and the day.

My wife and I played on a Sunday 5/15/11.I'm picky about greens, so I called in advance to ask how they were.I get a truthful response about half the time when I call courses and this wasn't one of them. The greens were patchy and bumpy. The other big issue was there was mainly hard pack dirt in the huge bunkers they have.My wife did like the hard fairways that gave her an extra 20 yards of roll.Me not so much. I don't like hitting off of hard pack from the middle of the fairway. The layout of the course is nice and I liked the way the yardages set up from the back tees in comparison to the ladies tees. Our drives were side by side a lot, which makes for fun competition.
