The course was in excellant shape. Grass cutting was well defined and the greens were well kept although a little fast for me. I cant say enough about the course.
The course was in very good condition. The greens were excellent. I found them to have the right speed. They were tough to read but that makes them challenging.
We started after 2 pm and still managed to get our 18 holes in as the pace of play was very well maintained. Course knowledge is required as the washes come into play on many holes. Forward red tee boxes, especially for the par threes are very short. Total yardage for the various tees would also help. Practice facility is good although hitting off mats leaves a little bit desired. Overall a good desert golfing experience.
This course is in many ways as challenging as the more well-known Dinosaur Course. Greens are fast and undulating. Fairways are pristine. My only complaint is that sand in bunkers is too deep, plugged lies even in fairway bunkers. Our foursome played in 4:15.
The course is in pristine condition. The scenic holes with elevated tees and greens add excitement to each shot. Crucially placed barrancas add another element of risk reward. Good course management of placing shots is a must on this course to score well. Could use more presence of a Ranger/Marshall to keep the pace of play moving.
