My wife and I were pleasantly surprised. Fairways and greens were very well kept and healthy. The executive course was a great way to work on your short game. Not a lot of bunkers (one??) or water, so I suppose that could be both good or bad, depending on your objectives!

I recently played the Cub course at Bear Creek, it has been a couple of years since I had played the course and I was not dissapointed. The course is very well kept, the staff very friendly, and the new clubhouse is great. The course itself played a bit slow with a fivesome ahead of me but I just resolved to hitting three shots off of each teebox. Playability I would say was faily easy with no bunkers or water to worry about. I would recommend this course to someone looking to relax or shore up their short game.

First time at Bear Creek. We had some difficulty finding the tee boxes, but will have no problem next time. Very helpful and courteous staff. We enjoyed our game.

FOR THE END OF SUMMER, THE COURSE WAS STILL IN GREAT SHAPE! HOWEVER, I WAS DISAPPOINTED AND DISTRACTED BY THE CREW ALREADY STARTING TO AERATE THE COURSE. THAT WAS NOT SUPPOSED TO START UNTIL LATER THIS MONTH. THE CREW KEPT HOLDING ME UP, GETTING IN MY WAY, AND THEY DID NOT NEED TO TEAR UP THE COURSE WHEN IT WAS STILL IN EXCELLENT CONDITION.

The Cub is a fun course to play. The day I played a lot of people had their kids with them, and there were a couple of foursomes of kids only ranging in age from eight to maybe twelve. There is no paved cart path except near the clubhouse, but the course is remarkably well manicured and shows no signs of wear from carts. There are a LOT of tee boxes. Everyone can find a suitable place to tee off from. With most of the course par threes, you get a chance to improve your short game. The greens are well maintained and roll true,. so this is an excellent practice course.
