Villa de Paz Golf Course
4220 N. 103rd Avenue Phoenix, AZ 85037
Voted the best, inexpensive 18 holes in the "Valley of the Sun" as featured by the Arizona Republic newspaper, Villa de Paz Golf Club is Arizona`s best golfing value.
Course was very enjoyable and challenging for all levels.
Friendly staff and excellent price. Course was in average condition. Good greens that truly test your putting. Fairways are a little sparse and closely cut making ball striking a premium. The overall course layout is great and a good test. If you play the back tees bring your A game as there are no gimmie holes after the first couple to get you started. A 470yd par 4 dogleg with water in front for a finishing hole is a great test.
The layout of the course was quite nice. The back nine in particular and the greens were enormous with many of them multi-tiered which made for some interesting shots. It has all the look of a Championship course, but lacks in some general maintenance. Fairways were generous, but patchy in places. With some effort, the course could be fabulous though the housing development around the course is very run down. All in all, a very good golfing experience and do plan to play there again.
The course is about on par with others in the area but at a lot less cost. The people working here are really great. The neighborhood around the course is kind of run down but I enjoyed playing here and really liked the price. Ive been back several times since and ended up joining their mens league as there aren't a lot of affordable options for that around this area.
not a bad lay-out but definitely, needs some work on the greens. but challenging holes for sure..roughs could stand a bit more definition. the price was right tho".. have fun..
