Orange Tree Golf Resort
10601 N. 56th Street Scottsdale, AZ 85254
With strategically placed lakes and sand bunkers guarding fairways and gently sloping greens, Orange Tree challenges players of all skill levels.
Orange Tree was the first course I played in Arizona. Staff were awesome and helped walk me through everything before I teed off. Holes are pretty straight and not extremely long, but throw in bunkers and water and it creates a challenge. Not too hard for new golfers, not too easy for low handicappers. Number 9&18 are two of the prettiest holes I have ever played.
From the minute we arrived until we finished our round, we had a wonderful time at Orange Tree. The service was great, the course was beautiful and in good shape, and the weather was perfect. We also appreciated that the starter let us and the people ahead and behind us play as twosomes. The pace of play was quick but relaxed.
Greens had good speed, great sand in traps and course conditions were good for this time of year.
This is the first time we have played Orange Tree since last Spring. Under new ownership the course condition is much improved. Fairways and greens are in great shape. Our only complaint is that many of the ladies" tee boxes have long, high ridges that make it very difficult to find a level teeing ground. By way of suggestion, moving the ladies' tee boxes forward would be much appreciated by my wife and others, I am sure. We had to change this week's tee time twice due to the rain Monday and Tuesday. The Pro Shop was very gracious about accommodating our requests. Overall, very good value for the GolfHub green fees.
Very happy to see that they have the rakes now in the traps not on the carts. They need to have more markings the distance to the greens however.
