From the 1st tee to the last green conditions are terrific. Each hole is different and asks for not only some thought but rewards good shots. Birdies are attainable but doubles can be easily had if your not careful. All the staff treats you like you would expect at a high end private club. have been playing in the valley for over 15 years and Desert Willow is our first choice - both tracks are great with Firecliff more difficult of the 2.If you have not been there - GO! Even if its just for lunch on their patio - that also is a must!

THE TOUCH SCREEN TO RETURN TO COURSE, message comes up much to often during the round of golf. This is the first year we have noticed this.

This has always been a favorite of mine in this area, but I think it is becoming over rated. The last two years the fairways have not been watered properly and the coots are becoming a real issue. The club house is awesome.

I have played Desert Willow for over ten years and consider it to be one of the best golf facilities. Both the condition of the courses and the service level are outstanding. However, the pin positions on the three days that I have recently played the course are often times on the sides of steep slopes. In a few cases, balls that miss the hole will roll back down to where the putt was hit from. Having been on the green committee of two private courses, I do have some understanding of how holes should be located on greens. I would just encourage your superintendent to review hole locations with his staff.

Because every positive review just means the courses at Desert Willow will be busier and busier and make it that much harder to get a good tee time! I have played each course, Mountain View and Firecliff, dozens of times. They are challenging, they are almost always in excellent condition and the staff treats you like a you were a member of a private club. It is a very first class operation -- undoubtedly the best muni I have every played.
