Rio Pinar is an old style, flat Florida golf course with shot shaping off the tee box a premium for setting up approach shots. The greens were maybe a 7 or 8 out of 10 on my ten point scale fairways were fine and fast. Service in the pro shop was excellent and very accommodating. This was an enjoyable trip and well worth the time if youre in East Orlando. My group had to travel a little so we will not return, but I do recommend if local.

What a great historic course. It hosted a PGA Tour Event in the 1960s and 1970s. The pictures of the champions are up in the grill and are worth a look. Trevino, Palmer and Irwin are among the past champions. The course is in great shape and has a much cooler feel than some of the new courses were used to playing. It used to be completely private so it isnt well known. Rio is definitely worth a try

Enjoyed the course, but greens were not in very good shape. Hospitality was great. 2 of our party couldnt come and John gave us rain checks (whole amount was prepaid) which was very nice and makes me amenable to returning. Helps when you are treated well, especially if you are trying to get new business which we are.
