Recently named the 8th Best Public Golf Course in Michigan by Michigan Golf Magazine, our newest masterpiece, a Robbins/Koch design, is an 1,100 acre tour of the majestic Sturgeon River Valley. Four to six tee boxes accommodate all levels of play, and the shear magnificence of the elevation changes, natural forestry and the flowing Sturgeon River Valley will delight every player. The Tribute is more than 1 signature hole. Every trip in the golf cart from green to the next tee, unveils elevation changes and exciting new golf experiences. Nearly every tee is elevated, with numbers 3, 6, 11, 14, 16 and 18 being the most stunning. From the tees of the 430 – yard par – 4 3rd, players can see the horizon over 30 miles away. The green complexes are spectacular from hole to hole with huge undulating greens. Yardages range from 5085 from the forward tees to 7347 from the tips. Here`s what they`re saying about The Tribute at the Otsego Club & Resort... Top 10 Best New Course -- Sports Illustrated Michigan`s Best Golf Resort -- Detroit News "This is the best site I’ve ever worked with, and the wetlands, are nothing we’d ever seen before". - Tribute architect and Senior Tour Player Gary Koch. "It will take your breath away!" -- Vartan Kupelian, Detroit News "The Tribute gets overshadowed but it`s one of Michigan`s "OH WOW!" courses. It`s as nice a course as you`ll find in the State." -- Don Vanderveen, Michigan Golf Senior Writer

My family and I have played Tribute many times and I can say with confidence that we love Tribute more than any other course. The course is carved into the ski hills of the Otsego Club and Resort. We routinely see wildlife (deer, foxes, wild turkeys), the scenery is incomparable, and the course is usually empty. One reason that the course may be so empty, however, is that it is expensive compared to other courses in the area. That said, there is definitely some value in enjoying the splendor of the setting without rushing or being pushed. Book your tee time on-line for a minor savings, and avoid weekends, which are a little more expensive. After golf, enjoy spectacular views from the Duck Blind restaurant. I hope to golf Tribute for the rest of my life.
I have played what most consider the best courses in the Petoskey/Gaylord area, and the Tribute is hard to argue as being one of the best, if not the best. Besides the pretty tame first and second hole, the course really gets going starting on 3. If you don't know anything about this course, wait until you get to #3. The conditions were EXCELLENT, as were the people. If you ever play there...ask for cart 18 or 26.....they will make your round that much more fun...trust me. I will DEFINITELY be playing this one again
