Information Collected Online
When you become a GolfHub member you must provide your name, street address, city, state and zip code, country and telephone number. This information is collected on the registration form for several reasons including: (1) personal identification; (2) to verify account information and match it with the proper user; (3) to allow us to contact you for customer service, if necessary; (4) to customize the content of our website to meet your specific needs; (5) to make product improvements to the site; (6) to retrieve your handicap information from your state golf association for use on GolfHub. In addition, your email address is collected to send you an email message confirming your new member registration. As a member you will occasionally receive updates from us about special offers, new services, and other noteworthy news items. Please see our Opt Out policy described below.
At registration, you may also be asked to submit certain optional information. This may include your date of birth, golf level, golf division, time-of-play preferences, club preferences and a description of your golf game. Again, this information is optional, and is used to identify you to the rest of the GolfHub community, and to allow other members to search for golfers that have similar tastes and preferences.
Tee Time Transactions
When making a golf tee time reservation on http://teetimes.golfhub.com, certain personal information will be collected (1) to correctly bill your credit card for the tee time reservation or deposit (2) as required by the golf course to secure and verify your reservation (3) to maintain an accurate and verifiable record of your reservation in the GolfSwitch system (4) to inform the other golfers in your party of the reservation (5) for GolfSwitch and Golfsmith email marketing purposes, should you not follow the Opt Out policy described below.
By accepting making a tee time reservation on GolfHub, you:
- agree that GolfSwitch may charge a booking fee to your credit card per golfer for each tee time reservation that you make via this web site; and
- authorize GolfSwitch to transmit your name, address, E-mail address and credit card information to the golf course at which you make each such reservation; and
- acknowledge that the course's operators may use your credit card to guarantee the reservation. The booking fee is non-refundable and will be charged to your credit card regardless whether you play or cancel the rounds that you reserve through this web site.
The golf course you selected requires advance notice before day of play for any cancellation, which you may furnish either by following the tee time cancellation procedure on this site or by contacting the course directly. If you do not cancel your reservation in accordance with the course cancellation policy, the course may charge your credit card the entire greens fee for all rounds reserved.
Although GolfSwitch is using its most reasonable effort to provide an Internet reservation system for customers desiring to reserve rounds at golf courses participating in its network, you understand that GolfSwitch is providing its reservation service "as is" without making any warranties of any kind, including any express warranties and the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, except as required by law. GolfSwitch's maximum liability for any damages that you may suffer or that may result from your use of the reservation system will not exceed the aggregate booking fee paid for the reservation owing rise to the damages. In no event will GolfSwitch or any of its suppliers be liable for any consequential, incidental or any such damages or for lost profits of any kind, even if apprised of the possibility of any such damages.
GolfHub allows members to set up unique personal profiles that can be linked together through networks of friends. GolfHub members can view each others' profiles, communicate with old friends and meet new friends on the service, share photos, post journals and comments, and describe their interests. To enrich our members' experience, we request and display some personal information to other members and visitors, which allows our users to identify each other, expand their network of friends, and to find an communicate with each other. Information used to search for other players includes (but may not be limited to): First and Last Name, Screen Name, Gender, Golf Division, Golf Level of Expertise and Playing Time/Day Preferences. GolfHub members can change their profile information at any time.
User Profile information including members' pictures and other information submitted, and is used in order to facilitate user interaction in the GolfHub social networking community. Email addresses and/or user names are used for the purposes of inviting new friends to join GolfHub, to add users to members' buddy list, and to send notifications related to the service.
With the exception of inviting friends, adding friends, and notifications, a user's email address is not shared or displayed. Users within a personal network communicate on GolfHub with each other through the GolfHub service. To facilitate searching and finding friends and acquaintances on the service, GolfHub allows users to search for other members using profile information collected during the registration process (and/or the profile maintenance process).
Invitations and Other Communications to Non-members
GolfHub members can invite friends to join the service by sending invitation emails via our automated invitation system. GolfHub stores the email addresses that members provide so that the respondents may be added to the friend's list of the member sending the invitations, and also to send reminders of the invitations. GolfHub does not sell these email addresses or use them to send any other communication besides invitations, invitation reminders. Recipients of invitations from GolfHub may contact GolfHub to request the removal of their information from our database.
During the registration process, if you do not wish for information that is deemed "optional" to be shared with the GolfHub community, do not enter that information. If you do not wish for information that is deemed "required" to be shared, do not join GolfHub.
The GolfHub bulletin board is provided to allow members a place to post advertisements and announcements, including, but not limited to: merchandise for sale or barter, 'looking for players', private golf events and golf items for sale or barter. All items and announcements posted on the GolfHub bulletin board must be done so in accordance with state and federal laws. No items that are illegal to obtain, possess or sell may be posted on the GolfHub bulletin board.
GolfHub is not responsible for the initial screening of items posted on the bulletin board. If any questionable items or announcements are posted on the bulletin board, please report the abuse to GolfHub immediately.
Removal of items or announcements from the GolfHub bulleting board may be done at the sole discretion of GolfHub and GolfSwitch.
Any information you submit as a part of a posting on the GolfHub bulletin board will be made available for public viewing. You should have no expectation of privacy with regard to the items or information you post; and GolfHub and GolfSwitch are not responsible for the consequences of your displaying any personal information on the GolfHub bulletin board.

Special Offers and Updates
We send all new GolfHub members a welcoming email to validate email address. Established members will occasionally receive information on products, services, and special deals.
On rare occasions it is necessary to send out a strictly service related announcement. For instance, if our service is temporarily suspended for maintenance we might send users an email. Generally, users may not opt-out of these communications, though they can deactivate their account. However, these communications are not promotional in nature.
We communicate with users on a regular basis to provide requested services and in regards to issues relating to their account we reply via email or phone, in accordance with the users' wishes.

From time-to-time our website requests information from users via surveys or contests. Participation in these surveys or contests is completely voluntary and the user therefore has a choice whether or not to disclose this information. The requested information typically includes contact information and demographic information (such as zip code). Contact information will be used to notify the winners and award prizes. Survey information will be used for purposes of monitoring or improving the use and satisfaction of this website.
