Newton Commonwealth Golf Course is an exceptionally groomed, 18-hole public course located just minutes from downtown Boston in Newton, MA. 1997 marked the centennial anniversary of the club, redesigned in 1920 by renowned architect, Donald Ross. It offers a short, but challenging, round of golf featuring quick greens and relatively narrow fairways. The clubhouse features changing rooms with showers and a patio overlooking the course. A fully-stocked Pro Shop offers products from all the top manufacturers. Newton Commonwealth is located on the Newton-Boston border near Boston College and is easily accessible from the Mass. Pike and by public transportation. An active Inner Club hosts tournaments throughout the season and maintains a USGA handicap system. Discounts are offered to Newton residents, as well as Junior and Senior players. Our PGA Golf Professional, Robert Travers, offers both private and group lessons. The course is open to the public seven days a week and is available for outings to accommodate company groups, clubs and family gatherings. Tee times can be scheduled up to 4 days in advance.
